About me

My name is Javier, and I began the Muhteşem Yuzyıl Topkapı project approximately seven years ago. Over this time, I have created multiple versions of the Topkapi Palace, with each new rendition becoming more realistic than the last. The project originated in 2018, following the premiere of the audiovisual production Muhteşem Yuzyıl Kösem in the United States, which sparked my fascination with Ottoman history. That same year, I attempted my first digital reconstruction of the Topkapi Palace in Minecraft. While that initial version was far from what the project has evolved into today, the process marked the beginning of a long journey. In the past seven years, I have gathered an extensive amount of information about the palace—so much so that I often say I know it better than my own home, despite never having visited in person. This work is driven purely by passion and enjoyment; it is a personal hobby rather than a professional endeavor.
